out of vienna, comin' with a new sound for the city - they call it broken afrotech, whatever this means, you can hear it in their productions: dj & radio legend marcus wagner and hiphop champion sascha weisz team up for makossa & megablast, delivering their album "kunuaka" very soon via g-stone recordings. with the title track already being an anthem on many different dancefloors around the world, the full length shows all their influences and melts them into one definition of a new flavour. so does the kinda megamix makossa & megablast sent in for this show. loads of album tracks plus one exclusive, soon out via man recordings. big thanks! also in the show brandnew stuff by trusme, recloose - recorded live: cool coverversion of the james mason classic "sweet power you embrace" , faze actions big tune from 10 years ago, larry levan remixing imagination and on the more techy and minimal side of things john daly and the attias brothers - both just the way we like it for soulsearching. plus another song taken from the simply beautiful "ma fleur" album by the cinematic orchestra and a big bill withers song which i've discovered in portos finest second hand record shop - listen to the beats!
gotta send out some shouts to the porto crew, its been good to return - and what a sound system in very fine styled pitch - club!
