DJ Linus' latest release:

Compose 0130: Soul Penetration | Worldleague | Rollercoaster | 12-inch
Compose 0132: Soul Penetration | Worldleague | Rollercoaster | Maxi-CD

DJ Linus’ newest 12inch and maxi-CD, Soul Penetration, is truly a catchy deephouse-song; you can’t help but humming it right after the first listening! The clear sound of the flute underlines the male singer’s sexy bedroom voice. Worldleague on the B-side is a great track with latinbeats and pumping dub. The track is dedicated for the club called Heizkraftwerk in Munich. If Star Wars would have been produced in 1998, it would have sounded like Worldleague! The discosounds in Rollercoaster hurl you back to the Eighties. This 12inch is certainly a further proof of DJ Linus’ musical diversity! In the beginning of February 1999 the vinyl Soul Penetration was on German Club Charts number 12 and on German Dance Charts number 19!

As any press quote can tell you, DJ Linus is one of Germany’s most respected DJs and producers. Well known to many through his smasher Bar-B-Q (12inch of the month in Muzik), he is also a regular on playlists from Tony Humphries (featuring DJ Linus tracks regularly in his radio show), Gusto, Armand Van Helden, Roger S., Kevin Saunderson, Hector Romero, Release The Pressure/Groove, Blues & Soul, DJ-Magazine Hype Charts, Ricky Morrison, Danny Ross and in a lot of charts from other well known DJ- or house-stores.

DJ Linus is DJ since 1989. His style is a rare mixture of dub, deep-house, disco and nu-school. His favourite producers are Norma Jean Bell, Sandy Riviera, Mateo and Matos, Derrick Carter, DJ Spen, DJ Deep, Nick Holder. He is a regular at Heizkraftwerk, Munich. He has played at Planète in Rennes (France), and Ministry of Sound, London. He plays regurlarly not only in Germany, but in England and on the West Coast of the USA, too.

Select, Sept. ’97

"This is hands in the air, naked in the front garden, arrested by police, charged for being a completely gay tosspot, discocidial trash house nob wank and it’s bloody great."
Mixmag, June/July 1996

"DJ Linus’ works makes you wonder as he appears to be making Saturday night house music without a cheesy riff or chart-destined hook in sight."
Tony Marcus
